Silvia Caimi (Italian, b. 1968) is an internationally represented fine artist. Graduating in literature, she deepened her studies of Byzantine, medieval and modern Art.
Selected, she arrives at a prestigious Masters in economics at the University of Languages and Communication Sciences IULM in Milan. She dedicates herself to painting passion, cultivating the natural talent, which soon evolved into an artistic and rigorous methodology, particularly directed to the human male and female body. The attention to the composition and to the drawing, visible in almost sculptural effects of liquid or fade modeling in the throb of an emotion, reveal a continuous tension to inner emotion and beauty.
Her paintings have been the subject of numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions. Her work infact was selected by critics for important exhibitions representing Italian painting abroad. Caimi's paintings have been featured in London, Miami, New York, as well as in many major Italian cities as Spoleto, Firenze, Genova, Milan, obtaining important awards, including - in 2014 - the medal of the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano. She has recently been selected and invited to an important retrospective of the italian master Aligi Sassu for a dialogue on the drawing one of the most important features of the Master. The artist Silvia Caimi has attended in EXPO IN THE CITY, in EXPO 2015, cultural platform that the City and the Chamber of Commerce of Milan have chosen to associate to the Italian Pavilion for Feed. She corrently lives in Mantova, Italy with her husband and her daughter.
