Zoë Durand is a Taiwanese born, Sydney based, award winning artist who has exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne, New York, London, Scotland, Italy and the Louvre, Paris.
Her art has been covered in media including art and fashion magazine and art books in Malaysia, Australia, Spain, the USA and the United Kingdom.

She has collaborated with Malaysian fashion designers Sereni & Shentel for their "artist series" to form a capsule collection of exclusive textile designs.

She is also the founder of "Art with Heart" (www.artwithheart.club) which links art buyers with artists and charities, with a significant portion of all art purchased going towards nominated charities.

Zoë's works form part of private and corporate collections locally and internationally.  She is currently one of 200 Australian artists representing Australia in the "Imago Mundi" collection commissioned by Luciano Benetton (founder of Benetton Group, including "United Colours of Benetton.") Her art will form part of a permanent exhibition travelling major cities and museums around the world.

Zoë  has been awarded the Sandro Botticelli Art Prize in Florence, Italy and the UNESCO heritage International Noto art prize.

Zoë receives inspiration about what images and subjects to paint during her dreams. She has vivid dreams where she paints. Self taught,  Zoë often receives instructional advice and lessons from figures in her dreams who reveal new painting techniques to her.  Zoë also writes poetry which is frequently exhibited with her work as there is a strong echo between her images and written words.  Her poetry is also often written in a semi automatic sleep state in the early hours of the morning between dreams.

Zoë's artistic process is unconventional.  Predominately working with oils on canvas, she usually forgoes painting with traditional brushes, but rather paints with her hands and fingers. She then frequently "distresses" the surface of the canvas using unorthodox implements such as kitchen sponges, metal scourers, dish washing brushes and other household cleaning items.
